check out www.mmedicine.mobi

Hey people, from the time i wrote about mmedicine, fellow doctors have been flooding my inbox with inquiries. I don’t know much about it, but you can read a little on their website mmedicine seems they have some more interesting things to offer that ranges from free medical articles to a ‘different’ approach to dealing with medical representatives. mmedicine is also giving doctors a chance to give some ‘real time’ reviews about the new drugs that we will be using. I just hope that the reviews are honestly delivered to the pharma companies. The last thing that we need is some more nonsensical concerns from the pharma companies towards us doctors with no real outcome. Hope mmedicine has some substance to it, or all these claims may have no use in the end.
and post this..

mMedicine Review

Came across mmedicine, and being doctor myself, was a little intrigued with the content. With all the mish mash that they seem to be offering, I found the part of having a drug directory at my disposable quite interesting. For a careless geek like me, my drug reference books can never be located when I need them the most. The lap top was a help, but too bulky to be carried around. And my phone is too precious to be misplaced and being light weight, I know I will have the drug info as and when I need. However I am eager to see the speed of mmedicine. I refuse to keep staring at the phone as mmedicine takes its own sweet time to send me drug info. It better be fast.
And the idea of having CME updates will be good for the forgetful lil me maintaining a diary is not my thing, but then with mmedicine, I may stop feeling guilty about being forgetful regarding these meets. But then again, I need to have mmedicine in the palms of my hands, before I can claim somthing.

Reetone/Easytone Reebok

Reetone/Easytone Reebok Review

I met this girl in the gym flaunting a new pair of Reetone (or Easytone.whatever!!) shoes from Reebok one look at her and I realized that the poor thing needs all the help that she can get..May be even these shoes that promise to give you better butts and better legs with every step.I mean the poor thing was a little on the heavier side, and the fact that she was a bit short just added to her woes as she claimed that because of her height she looked fatter than ever!!. She was hoping that her pair of Easytones clubbed with a few weeks of exercising will get her in shape real fast.

I asked her if it worked and she said that post wearing and walking, (mind you, just buying the shoe wont help, you also need to walk in them to get your legs right) she felt some stretch and pain in her calf and she believes that this meant that it was working...Good for her, because I rather sweat it out than buy a pair of shoes that of horrendously expensive.. Though my super heavy calf's need some work out.

Technology in Easytone/Reetone

As for these shoes, I did some r&d on line, trying to figure out the technology that's incorporated in these shoes and this is what I found out.

The soles are designed in such a manner that they create instability which forces your muscles to work harder to maintain the balance while you walk. Though the fat burn is negligible if you do not walk much and it's a bit hard to see the difference in your calf n thighs. But the Reetone ads are tempting and since obesity is on the rise and vanity is the next booming business, many women have chosen to shell out the money and buy it Some have seen a marginal difference, but that because they chose to walk for long, but then how can you figure out that the inch loss on the legs are due to longer walks, or the shoes.?

Also, u can tone all you want, but if you don't loose the fat on top, does that make a difference??

Look

The look is smart and trendy, designed keeping today's woman in mind. That provides some solace if you don't get the better butts and better legs at least you have a decent pair of Reeboks too flaunt, just ignore the price.

Price

With prices starting at Rs 5000, the shoes are atrociously expensive one of the reasons why many females may be reluctant to try.

My take

If you have the money and the excess weight, its worth a try just be sure to walk really long to get somewhere

Onida G430-unveiled

I was a bit tired of reviewing mobiles which were all no show-no substance. This time I decided to have a closer look at a mobile that was high in quality and low on price. I picked Onida, not just for a being a perfect package of looks and intelligence but because I personally believe that it has not got its due in the mobile phone market…yet.
I chose Onida G430. The phone has a neat, no frills look that speaks of reliability and being an Onida baby you can that they would not have compromised on quality.

Travel smart with your mobile phone

I remember my college days; we had gone up north for a pharmacy tour. This also involved travelling to Kullu, Manali, Chandigarh and Delhi. Every new hotel that we checked in, involved calling my parents through the reception. This in itself was like was a scary task as the connection was cranky, half the words were lost, so I had to fill in whatever I could not hear and many times I jumped to the wrong conclusion. The poor me dint have a choice and suffered a mini heart attack every time the hotels presented the bill before checking out. They burnt a hole in my wallet. Even when I had called, the conversation stuck to the most practical points as I could almost see the bill shoot up in my head while I sat in my room struggling to speak through a bad connection.

Now when I look back it all seems like the prehistoric times, what with the phone lines being dead most of the time along with the cross connections. Nowadays we don’t just have mobile phones and rent free roaming, but also while roaming the incoming is just a notch higher than the local calls and the outgoing is also quiet reasonable. Money is not the only factor that’s important here, there’s also the flawless connectivity minus shrills and continuous voice breaks. With mobile phones the convenience and quick access in case of emergencies of any kind is amazing besides being economical and essential while travelling. Though ensuring that the mobile phone has network access where you are up and moving and the battery being charged is important. Let’s also include the SMS, and the camera (which is a common feature in almost all phones), comes in handy while travelling. Now it’s a night mare to step out of the house without your mobile phone.
Your phone can be put to many such uses, for more fun tips, check out MobileNXT.com

Dance to the tunes of Nokia N96

My first impression of the Nokia N96 was that it seems a cross over between the iPhone and the Nokia N95. Since I bought my Nokia online through MobileNXT.com, I got to examine it closely only after it was delivered home. On a closer look I realized that this mobile possessed the most intelligent features of both the phones, minus their not-so-happening-features.
Out here we will scrutinize the music part of it especially since it also covers the most loved feature of this phone, its 16GB memory…
This sleek Nokia mobile phone is compatible with Polyphonic, Monophonic, True tones and MP3s. The MP3 feature is the hot favorite as you can make playlists and add the tracks based on genres, artists, movies etc. Besides compiling of all your favorite songs there’s also a section that includes all the latest songs played, recent additions and the most played songs. So choosing the tracks to be played gets simplified, besides being quick.
With the equalizer feature, you can also set it on Bass booster, Classical, Jazz, Pop and Rock, ensuring that you enjoy all forms of music. Since this phone is a precursor of the N series of Nokia, the audio quality is exceptional, but then u can’t expect anything less from Nokia!
How can we forget the FM? This phone supports 20 radio stations (We don’t have that many in the city, but a t least you won’t miss out on any new radio stations...as and when they come upJ ) so you are always connected to the latest releases and local news. The Nokia N96 also sports a good loudspeaker, as in the sound doesn’t break and the voice throw is commendable so sharing your music or the conversation is a lot of fun.
So the next time you need a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, just plug in your N96 and let music take over.
